You’ve put in the work, delivered the order, and… radio silence. No confirmation, no feedback, nothing. Now you’re left wondering:
Will I get paid if they never respond?
Can they come back weeks later and ask for changes?
What if they say they “forgot” to check the work?
Here’s how Gig.tn handles unresponsive buyers and ensures freelancers aren’t left hanging.
1️⃣ Auto-Completion After 5 Days – How It Works
When an order is delivered, the buyer has 5 days to:
✅ Accept the work & mark the order as complete
✅ Request revisions (if included in the gig)
✅ Open a dispute if they believe there’s an issue
💡 If the buyer does nothing, the order is automatically marked as complete after 5 days—ensuring freelancers are paid on time.
This protects freelancers from:
✔️ Buyers ghosting after delivery
✔️ Endless delays due to unresponsive clients
✔️ Last-minute refund requests after work is done
Once auto-completed, the payment is released to the freelancer’s account balance.
2️⃣ What If the Buyer Comes Back Weeks Later?
Let’s say 10 days later, the buyer finally checks their order and suddenly:
Claims they “forgot” to review the work
Demands extra revisions (that weren’t included)
Asks for a refund
At this point:
✅ The order is finalized and non-refundable unless Gig.tn determines fraud/misconduct.
✅ The buyer cannot request revisions unless the freelancer chooses to offer them.
✅ The buyer can still leave a review, but they cannot change the completion status.
🚨 Warning: If a buyer aggressively demands extra work after the order is auto-completed, they may be trying to exploit freelancers. Gig.tn does not tolerate buyers attempting to pressure sellers into free work after completion.
3️⃣ What If The Buyer Was On Vacation or Had an Emergency?
There are rare cases where a buyer was genuinely unable to respond (medical emergency, travel, etc.). If the buyer contacts support within a reasonable timeframe, we may investigate.
If the freelancer agrees, revisions may be arranged.
If the freelancer refuses, the order remains completed (unless fraud was involved).
Freelancers have the final say here.
4️⃣ Best Practices for Freelancers Dealing With Silent Buyers
🔹 Always confirm delivery expectations upfront. Ask buyers if they’ll be available to review work.
🔹 Send a friendly follow-up message after delivery. Example:
“Hey [Buyer’s Name], I just delivered your order! Let me know if you need anything before it auto-completes in 5 days.”
🔹 Keep all communication on Gig.tn. If a buyer tries to delay or change the deal outside the platform, it won’t be protected.
🔹 If a buyer ghosts, don’t panic. The system is designed to protect freelancers from non-responsive clients.
Final Thoughts: Freelancers Are Not Babysitters
Your responsibility ends when you deliver exactly what was agreed upon. If a buyer disappears, Gig.tn ensures your time and work are respected.
Once the 5-day period is over, the order is closed—no last-minute games, no delays.
