Protect Yourself. Protect the Community.

Updated over 3 months ago

Gig.tn was built to empower trust, transparency, and safe collaboration. But when scammers try to abuse the system — whether by tricking buyers, ghosting freelancers, or breaking platform rules — we rely on our users to help us stop them quickly.

This guide explains exactly how to report suspicious activity, what happens after you report it, and what to expect from our moderation process.

🚨 What Counts as a Scam or Reportable Behavior?

You should report a user or gig if they do any of the following:

🔴 Scams & Fraud

  • Asking for or sending payment outside Gig.tn

  • Delivering stolen, copied, or AI-generated work without disclosure

  • Taking an order and never delivering anything

  • Requesting refunds or chargebacks after already using the work

  • Lying about qualifications, licenses, or originality

🔴 Violating Platform Rules

  • Promoting forbidden services (hacking, fake reviews, adult content, etc.)

  • Posting misleading or dangerous gigs

  • Attempting to manipulate Gig.tn’s rating or ranking system

  • Creating multiple accounts for fraud

🔴 Abusive Behavior

  • Harassment, threats, discrimination, or inappropriate messages

  • Rude or aggressive communication

  • Spam or mass-message solicitation

  • Pressuring you into uncomfortable deals or private negotiations

If it makes you feel unsafe, tricked, or disrespected — report it. It’s your right.

There are 3 ways to report a user:

From a Gig Page

  • On the Top of the gig

  • Click the "Signaler ce service" or “Report Gig” button (Yellow Icon)

  • Choose your reason

  • Optionally add a message explaining why you’re reporting

From Your Dashboard or Support Page

  • Go to your dashboard > Support

  • Click Submit a Ticket

  • Choose “Report Fraud or Abuse” as the category

  • Include any screenshots or order details

  • Explain what happened in as much detail as possible

🕵️ What Happens After You Report?

✅ Step 1: We Acknowledge Your Report

You’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received your case.

✅ Step 2: Moderators Review the Evidence

We check:

  • The chat or gig you reported

  • The user’s past activity and complaint history

  • Whether there’s a pattern of abuse

We don’t make decisions automatically — every case is reviewed by a real human.

✅ Step 3: We Take Action

Depending on the situation:

  • The user may be warned, suspended, or permanently banned

  • If you were scammed, we may issue a refund or reassign your order

  • In some cases, we may reach out for more info or clarification

You’ll be notified once a final decision is made.

🧠 Tips to Make Your Report Stronger

If you want faster resolution:

  • Include specific examples or links (e.g., gig URL, message timestamp)

  • Attach screenshots if possible

  • Stay calm and factual — we’re here to help, not judge

  • Don’t send reports in multiple places — one clear report is enough

❗ False Reports Will Be Penalized

Gig.tn encourages real users to report real issues. But making false claims to harm another user, spam reports, or retaliatory complaints can lead to:

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent ban

  • Loss of buyer/seller privileges

Always report in good faith — and we’ll always have your back.

🔐 Your Reports Are Confidential

You will never be exposed to the other user when you report them. Your name, message, and identity are kept private and protected at all times.

✅ Report Early. Stay Safe. Help Others.

The sooner you report something suspicious, the faster we can investigate it — and prevent others from being affected. Whether it’s a scam, a fake gig, or an abusive message, your report helps keep Gig.tn safe and fair for everyone.

📌 If in doubt, don’t stay silent. Report it.
