What Happens If Your Gig Is Removed or Rejected?

Why It Happens — And What to Fix Before You Resubmit

Updated over 2 months ago

You’ve taken the time to write your gig, added a price, uploaded images, clicked publish...

Then you get a message from Gig.tn:

“Your gig has been rejected.”

Or worse — you wake up and your service has disappeared without warning.

If that happens, don’t panic. This article explains:

  • Why gigs get rejected or removed

  • What you can do to fix the issue

  • How to get back online — fast

⚖️ All Gigs Go Through Manual Review

Every new gig created on Gig.tn is manually reviewed by our moderation team before it’s published.
This helps us make sure:

  • Your gig is clear, legal, and useful

  • You’re offering something valuable

  • The gig respects our platform rules and payment provider requirements

  • You’re not accidentally (or intentionally) violating terms

Reviews usually happen within 24 hours — sometimes faster, depending on volume.

❌ Common Reasons Your Gig Might Be Rejected

Here are the top reasons freelancers see their gigs declined:

1. You’re Offering a Forbidden Service

🔗 See the full list of forbidden categories in our

Some types of services are not allowed on Gig.tn — either for legal reasons, ethical concerns, or to comply with our payment partners.

2. The Gig Description Is Vague or Misleading

We reject gigs that are:

  • Too short or copy-pasted from other sites

  • Filled with buzzwords but no real offer

  • Unclear about what the buyer is actually getting

  • Promising something outside the scope of your skills

  • Containing false claims (e.g., “guaranteed 1st on Google in 24h”)

💡 Tip: Describe exactly what you offer, how it works, and what the buyer receives — no more, no less.

3. The Images Are Stolen, Generic, or Poor Quality

Freelancers often upload:

  • Logos that don’t belong to them

  • Unedited mockups from Google

  • Stock images with watermarks

  • Blurry or off-topic thumbnails

We take presentation seriously — if your visuals look stolen or low-quality, your gig may be rejected.

💡 Use your own work, show clear examples, and keep things professional. Original always wins.

4. Pricing or Formatting Violations

Your pricing must:

  • Be in DNT only (no symbols or words like “TND” or “$”)

  • Include only numerical values (no spaces or extra text)

  • Be realistic for what you're offering (no “1 DNT full website” scams)

  • Respect buyer trust — no bait & switch

💡 Keep it clean: 150, 300, 850 — no symbols, just value.

5. You’re Not Verified, and the System Flags It

Unverified freelancers can only publish 1 gig. If you try to publish more without completing your KYC, the system may:

  • Reject new gigs

  • Unpublish older ones

  • Flag your account for review

📌 Solution: Get verified and unlock up to 10 gigs instantly.

🧠 What Happens If Your Gig Gets Removed After Approval?

Sometimes, even approved gigs can be taken down later if:

  • You edited them to include a forbidden or suspicious offer

  • A buyer reported it as misleading

  • You added payment details or tried to direct buyers outside Gig.tn

  • The gig was linked to poor service, spam, or repeated disputes

In that case, you’ll receive a removal notification or see the gig marked as “deactivated” in your dashboard.

🔁 Can You Resubmit After Rejection?

Yes — and you’re encouraged to.

Before resubmitting:

  • Read the rejection message carefully

  • Fix what was flagged (title, image, wording, pricing, etc.)

  • Improve the clarity and presentation of your offer

  • Double-check you’re not violating any of our core policies

Then, resubmit the gig for review.

If you’re still unsure why it was rejected — contact support and we’ll explain.

✅ Rejection Isn’t Failure — It’s a Filter

Gig.tn is serious about quality — not to frustrate freelancers, but to protect buyers and keep trust high.

A rejected gig is a chance to improve:

  • Make it more professional

  • More focused

  • More buyer-friendly

We’d rather help you fix it now than let it sit online and ruin your first impression.
